Candle Care

At Atelier Vintage Vert we’re passionate about the quality and safety of every candle we create.

Burn times & sizes
• Jar candle ≈ 220 g (±10 %) – around 50 hours of burn time
• Tin candle ≈ 190 g (±10 %) – around 40 hours

Burn time will vary with conditions such as room temperature, draughts, and fragrance type.

Safety warnings
• Light candles in a well-ventilated, draught-free area.
• Always place on a level, heat-resistant surface.
• Keep away from flammable materials, children and pets.
• Leave at least 10 cm between lit candles.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Failure to follow instructions may result in fire or injury.
• Read the product label before use – it lists any fragrance allergens.

How to burn for best results
• For the first burn, keep the candle alight 3–4 hours, until the surface melts evenly edge-to-edge. This prevents tunnelling.
• Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
• Extinguish using a snuffer or the lid provided; avoid blowing out the flame.
• If the wick shifts off-centre, extinguish the candle, recentre it gently, and allow to cool before relighting.
• Keep the melt pool free of matches and debris.

After each burn
• Allow to cool completely before moving.
• Trim the wick to 5–7 mm before relighting. Long or crooked wicks can produce smoke and soot.
• Replace the protective lid when not in use to preserve fragrance and prevent dust.
• Stop burning when 1 cm of wax remains and monitor closely towards the end.

Re-using your jar or tin
Once fully cooled, place the container in the fridge for a few hours and gently loosen the remaining wax. Wash with warm soapy water and reuse for storage or recycling.

Enjoy safely and responsibly.
With a little care, your candle will fill your home with many hours of pleasure.
