Four individual book spine designs sit within a single flexible silicone mould, each one exquisitely detailed with the kind of ornate embellishments you find on antique leather bound volumes — decorative panels, floral motifs, acanthus leaves, crackled leather texture and elegant label frames just waiting to be personalised.
Each book spine can be cast individually, giving you complete flexibility to use them separately or arrange them together as a beautiful bookish display. The flat areas on each spine have been thoughtfully designed to allow you to add further decoration — stamp directly onto your castings using The Connoisseur's Library stamp set, apply IOD transfers or use paint inlays to bring colour and detail to the recessed areas. This mould and The Connoisseur's Library stamp set were designed to work together as a collection.
IOD moulds feature MicroRims™ for cleaner castings, Measure Marks™ showing both weight and volume to help you calculate the right amount of medium, and Stack and Sort™ edge labels for tidy storage. The mould is food safe, BPA free and compatible with most casting mediums.
Use with air dry clay, resin, and even for making chocolates or biscuits — the detail this mould produces is extraordinary whatever medium you choose. When using resin, a mould release spray is recommended to prolong the life of the mould.
